The Dragon is the fifth animal in the Chinese Zodiac and thought to be an auspicious symbol of success, power and great happiness.
A WATER year means it is a year of the emotional realm which is strengthened with the myth and legend of the all powerful DRAGON.
Consider starting your Dragon Year with some major space clearing or de-cluttering of things you no longer need. This goes for the stuff of life and any left over emotional baggage brought in from the previous year. You will enjoy the extra space this creates for the emotional watery outflow that can come with a Dragon year. Clear space can also also temper the firey Dragon out burst. During the times of flaring tempers, I suggest you place some red apples in a bowl on your dining table. This helps dissolve disharmony in the home.
During a Dragon Year, pay extra attention to finishing a project before starting another one. Be aware that it is easy to burn the candle at both ends which can cause additional stress. Take the time to light a candle from time to time… as a reminder to yourself to be present in the moment. With that said, know that this is a wonderful year for overcoming obstacles. Use the emotional waters of the Dragon to feel and embody an “I CAN DO IT” power attitude.
This year brings with it the opportunity to reach out and help others while it may feel difficult to accept assistance or help from others. You may find it a year where you enjoy the outdoors perhaps more than being inside. It could be a wonderful year to think of ways to enhance your outdoor space. All in all, it is a great year to spend time in nature and to learn more about the elemental forces.
May the Dragon Year bless you with Happiness and Great Success in 2012.
