Astrology Altar Magic
Altars are a very powerful way to honor the sacred in our lives. They are an expression of devotion, desires, life transitions, love and more. From time to time, I will be creating Altar Blogs. My intent is for you to gain a better understanding of how to invite them into your home and use them as a life enriching tool. The photo honors my “natal chart” and it helped me to see how the heavy fire elements in my chart can float on top of my emotional water as opposed to emotions putting out my fire.
Tis the Season…for Magic and Believing!
I am so very grateful during this holiday season and have come to know when a teacher is in front of me. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Ramadan all open windows to a deep sacred place inside us where we invite in …
the Magic of the Season and the Reason to Believe. Each of these holidays hold sacred teachings. Lessons can also come in the form of the unexpected and at the most unexpected times… even in the form of an Altar.
This deep place of Believing and Knowing our Reason for Being comes from a time and place in the Cosmos where we breathe in the wisdom of the Celestial Realms. We took form in a physical body and began a life still guided by the constellations. The only thing is… most parents have not embraced the beauty of the heavenly map that comes with our birth. It is known as a “natal chart”. If you have not had a natal chart done, let me know and I can do this for you or put you in touch with other available sources.
I came into the world crying, like most babies do. I spent a childhood wondering why other people didn’t feel the things that I did and this deep feeling place has continued into my adult years. My journey into Shamanic Astrology began with Anyaa McAndrew and Lisa Michaels. They helped me gain an understanding of the deep feelings that I literally carry for those around me and even the world. Thanks to the efforts of Daniel Giamario and Cayelin Castell I have a better understanding of my personal cosmic operating system. I am by no means a Shamanic Astrologer but, I do have a basic understanding of it.
My altar is an expression of Mercury in Pisces (water), Venus and Mars in Aries (fire), Rising Sign and South Node both in Sagittarius (also fire), the bowl represents my Mid heaven in Virgo and Jupiter in Taurus (earth). I also placed a small wreath under the bowl for added earth energy. My sun is in Aquarius and is the fuel I need to burn brightly in the world. So, air feeds the fire while supporting my Gemini (air) North node. When you look closely at the photo…you will be able to see tiny air bubbles in the water that formed over night. The red candle in the center represents me standing in my power….parting the waters, so to speak. It occurred to me this morning, as I was coming out of dreamtime, that was the gift of my altar and the gift of my natal chart. For me to understand, that when Jesus said “you can do as I have done, and more”…I can also part the waters of emotions, stand tall and take my insights out into the world. I believe the heavens have gifted me with a beautiful Christmas gift. For those of you who know your natal chart, I highly recommend gifting yourself with an Astrology Altar during the holiday season of Winter Solstice. Blessings to each of you on your life journey, may you come to embrace it’s many gifts.
